Sorry, again. Once the day begins around here, it's two steps forward, three steps back, all day long. And it begins early.

I may not have blogged, but I got a bit of knitting done yesterday. I spent half an hour in Kathy's Knits, very quiet despite being a Saturday, and reached the crown-shaping rounds of the hat. I did a bit more Tokyo shawl, and reeely should finish the stint today. That will leave four bands to do, and a narrow garter edge. And, of course, blocking – but it could add up to another FO for '15.

Non-knit

I have started worrying, rather seriously, about whether Helff and Safety would approve of leaving an employed stranger in charge of the primitive heating arrangements in this house. But if I do get to London, Peggy, it will be a delicious bonus and hardly Cinderella – I've been to Athens this year, and Matt & Hellie's wedding. And I live in Edinburgh, no small thing.

And that's it Рthe day is now raging. Maybe I could try writing down little knitterly thoughts as they occur to me from time to time.23 ێ3333333333333333333333333 Final remark from Perdita.

  1. What a clever cat Perdita is - I can't find a Euro symbol anywhere on the keyboard which is why I had to type it in full!

  2. I always think I will remember those little knitterly thoughts - never do. I hope your Sunday is restful (as possible.)

  3. So glad all is alright bar the usual daily routines. Perhaps you could prepare your post at night and schedule it to be posted in the morning? Also you could start it in word or notepad and then add to it as you have time and inspiration during the day and then copy it into your blog when ready to post. This perhaps would take the pressure off of a long sit down to gather all your thoughts.

I so love hearing about your daily adventures I offer these tips to ease the way to keeping them coming.

Such fun to see perdition contributing again. The lack of comments about her lead me to surmise that all is well with your husband and Perdita and the carers. (As for her adjusting)

  5. Ah talented Perdita, typing the euro - three keys at once on my keyboard. I appreciate your reflections whenever you have time to send them out. And, I look forward to your pictures and thoughts on the next trip south to London. Even though I am quite far away, I do send prayer and thoughts for your husband's health and the carer's good abilities.

  6. My hubby and I had very primitive heating arrangements for about 30 years, so I understand your concerns about leaving them in the hands of the uninitiated. :) Hopefully it can be worked out. I'm finally figuring out who Perdita is, haha. Enjoying your blog. Don't worry if you can't get to it every day. Your days are full!

  7. Mojo that you are able to complete the Tokyo Shawl for 2015 and things don't wear you out too much.

Judging by Southern Gal's autocorrect adventures just now in Comments, Perdita is MUCH more discerning than IT is! (Guess, for all its dazzling abilities, modern computer technology is still a Work in Progress.). Many good wishes for your London plans, Jean. Chloe
