It was great fun to knit and she wore it for 3 or 4 YEARS, I was surprised it lasted that long. I love anything with unusual construction and this sweater certainly classifies. I think mine was in two shades of Plymouth Encore, turquoise and a variegated with turquoise in it - wears like iron. So glad you are back at knitting, I'd be lost without mine (smile).
