I like the Albers enough to be willing to take on intarsia, which I have never had a good reason to do before.....<br />Thanks for the link to Liz's blog- it all looks so cool and lovely there. Here it is already in the high 90s and Saturday is graduation. And I curse the fact that doctoral robes come in one weight- heavy and hot, (I wish they made a "tropical weight" version for academics in warm climes) because all us professors end up sweating through the ceremony wrapped in all that fabric, and your hair all smashed under the silly hat-- and we are expected to wear something nice under them. At least as a woman I can get away with a tasteful linen dress- the men have to wear a suit and tie....Angelhttp://knittingangel.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466385.post-33971599338474219962013-05-17T14:58:29.853+01:002013-05-17T14:58:29.853+01:00Speaking of photo shoots of knitwear: Maggi Righe...Speaking of photo shoots of knitwear: Maggi Righetti in "Knitting in Plain English" made the observation that if the model is posed in some unusual, contorted position the odds are there is a problem with the pattern. Now I never see such a picture without wondering "what's wrong with that one?"<br /><br />Pretty sad when the cover ads are better than the magazine contents. I knit the blue and green shawl from the Spring issue of IK. It's a VERY generous size.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
