It has pilled a bit in the usual places, but a clothes shaver sees that off.
Quite a lot depends on whether the new owner can be relied upon not to sling it in a machine - some people just don't understand how to look after wool.jeanfromcornwallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10062674591619616456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466385.post-37491644668862650382011-06-25T03:22:10.915+01:002011-06-25T03:22:10.915+01:00There are some very lightweight, folding wheelchai...There are some very lightweight, folding wheelchairs available that might make things easier for you.AnnPnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466385.post-8035254446890836352011-06-24T21:42:55.677+01:002011-06-24T21:42:55.677+01:00Cascade is a workhorse kind of yarn. I have several items knit with Cascade and they have held up well. My Wonderful Wallaby has pilled a bit, but I wear it a lot so am not surprised.

I was wondering about FiberQat's suggestion too. It will be electric red plenty for the sweater.

Would DH be open to perhaps getting around in a wheelchair? Would that work as a possibility?

I'm currently working on a Swirl sweater swatch. The key to it is drape. The yarns I'm using are a light worsted alternating with a laceweight, which is coming out as a quite nice fabric. The architecture of the sweater is quite fascinating.FiberQathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06524481267771726089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466385.post-89540395945440403092011-06-24T13:36:43.510+01:002011-06-24T13:36:43.510+01:00The Aran is really turning out beautifully. Certainly a hand wash item.

I think red is a tricky color to order sight unseen. If you can't find it locally and want US backup, I'd be glad to help.Mary Louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05588244535423212079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466385.post-33408643786984308832011-06-24T10:42:25.474+01:002011-06-24T10:42:25.474+01:00My father simply refuses to travel. But, he finally gave in and bought himself a walker. The advantage? It has a seat. He can seat himself when he gets tired.
