I’m not getting much knitting done. Can I reconstruct my
day? The limitations are fairly strict. I keep sinking down and knitting a few
peaceful rows of half-brioche – I’m a couple of inches beyond the underarm
cast-off by now; and that’s all.
One bit of knit-related news, though. I got a picture of
myself back from the framer yesterday, and hung it up. My sister commissioned
Franklin to do it in 2006. Eventually one gets around to things. Sorry about
the reflections.
I love Carol Sunday’s “Nancy’s Vest”.
Oh dear, another pattern...more yarn? I have to confess I actually bought a pattern the other day too. (I'll adapt it of course as I am too lazy to knit other people's patterns.) But...I can see you in that Sunday vest!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful picture! I would have recognized you at once too.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! The portrait is wonderful. And a few peaceful rows of half brioche may be what one needs in stressful and structured times. I do like that vest as well. Classic and comfy looking.
ReplyDeleteI so love Franklin's drawings and I'm so glad to hear you have a personalized one. Have you seen that he is coming out with a coloring book in June? http://www.amazon.com/Dream-Yarn-Knit-Crochet-Coloring/dp/1942021755/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1460642554&sr=1-1&keywords=franklin+habit

DeleteIt looks like fun!
This is the first I've heard of this. Thank you for mentioning it. I can't wait to see what Franklin has come up with!
DeleteLove the Franklin portrait. Yes, one does eventually get around to things - and then thinks, "Well, what was the big problem?"

The portrait by Franklin is adorable. Very glad you now have it on your wall.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing to have comfort knitting on hand when things are a bit stressful.
What a wonderful gift from your sister, and so good to have it on display. The vest looks very wearable.
ReplyDeleteOh, my! The portrait is perfect. What a wonderful thing to have. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful portrait!
