A distinctly quiet day. My Italian tutor comes on Saturday morning. We have a nice time, but it leaves me tired. I wonder if I am making any progress.

I have resumed the Soutache, but am not happy with what is happening. It was far from perfect before the break; even farther, now.

Here, at least, is the promised picture of the two sweaters, along with the back end of one of my cats. Paradox, in fact.

Miss Rachel’s Yoke is perfectly comfortable, perhaps just slightly too snug but nothing that a blocking couldn’t fix.

  1. They both look lovely. And go with your rug. I imagine some blocking will do the trick.

  3. Both look very cozy. I'd still have the heat on because it's hard to knit with gloves on. ;)

Very attractive. I'm a just little surprised that Paradox wasn't sitting on them. PS I just heard about an addition to Google Street View - the Faroe islands. They strapped cameras to the sheep!

We hear about the sweaters bit by bit then all of a sudden there they are. Love the colors, Jean. I don't suppose we could be treated to a modeled shot post-blocking? Did you have to shoo Paradox away from the FOs? Her back end pose implies a certain catly displeasure. Chloe

  7. Oh my! So beautiful. Forgive me for not remembering -- but which colourway did you use for Miss Rachel? I am seeing on Kate Davies' site (https://www.shopkdd.com/miss-rachels-yoke-and-gauntlets) that the kit comes with either a light-grey "haar" or dark-grey "squall" main colour, but your contrast colors look different from Ms. Davies' as well -- and (sssh!) I like yours better. Did you invent your own colour combination? That is fiendishly hard in Fair Isle. Depending on your answer, I may be elevating this pattern from Favourite to Queue. :-)
