My husband fell on Monday morning and fractured his hip. He had surgery yesterday, and is poorly this morning. No more from here for a while. I'll miss you, and I'll be back a.s.a.p.
Oh dear, not good. Fingers crossed he makes a speedy recovery from the surgery and best wishes to you both. I'm sure the family will be rallying round.
So sorry to hear that. Sending you healing and calming thoughts. Hope you can find times for some soothing knitting. Thank you for letting us all know. Helen (anon)
Another reader very sorry to hear this news. Best wishes from Toronto. I echo the other readers who remind you to take care of yourself in this very tough period. Maybe some mindless sock knitting? LisaRR
I was afraid something had happened since we had not heard from you. Many more hugs and prayers coming to you from the South, and we are good at both! As others have said, remember to take care of yourself, too. We will always be here when you return.
Oh, dear, Jean, I'm so sorry. May healing be swift. I hope you can take good care of yourself in the midst of this trouble. Thinking of you and your family, hoping all goes well.
I'm so sorry to hear this news, even as a stranger (but a faithful reader) on the Internet. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your husband, and a respite for you.
I'm so sorry, Jean. I'm sure your wonderful family is a great support for you both. Please care for yourself as well as your husband. Our thoughts are with you and we will welcome you back eagerly.
Sending my prayers and good thoughts to you. Have been so absorbed each night watching the train wreck of the republican convention that I have not really kept up with my blogs.. All I can say is that if the DNC didn't watch every minute of this week and plan to put on the most intelligent passionate coherent unbiased convention next week they don't deserve to win.
Prayers that your husband is recovering and adjusting o the hospital and that the surgery went well.. Best wishes that you are able to carve out some time for yourself and knitting if that helps. We are all here for you!
As you visit and care for and cheer up your husband, I wish for you many caring visits from your special people (and cats) to soothe your soul and gladden your heart.
I have been away several weeks from the blog as we readied our house for sale so I settled in happily with my knitting to catch up on the news from this blog, starting from a month ago. What a sad shock to see this post. I add my sorrow over the fall and best wishes for you both to those of all your other readers.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. Love and prayers heading your way.
