No news. I saw “The Green Book” with my niece C. – got there and back by bus, too, which but confirmed my impression that I am getting weaker fast. I enjoyed the movie.

No knitting, even. I gave up “Pointless” (which usually furnishes 45 minutes of knitting time on a weekday) to make a start on my Italian homework. I haven’t had a lesson for a fortnight because of my fall, and didn’t want to leave it all for tomorrow.

And no reading.

Still, I’ve done another day’s Lent. Thank you for the encouragement, Mary Lou. The meditations based on “In This House of Brede” are arriving daily, and they are good. And there’s time for a couple more Dathan stripes before I go to bed.

  1. I'm glad you're liking the Lent emails. I have copied the Pax symbol into my notebook where i keep quotations (your description of the funeral with sinister limousines is in there too). My husband went to the trouble of sourcing the right size of cardboard box to entice Leo (a female cat) away from the computer chair. Seems to be working. Two days without speeding in traffic or playing freecell accomplished. So far, so good?

The Lenten emails are good, aren't they? Hadn't decided what resource to use this year and this one is, so far, challenging me daily. I bought the Kindle edition of the novel of it and am enjoying it in between major stints on the latest baby blanket - Gudrun Johnston's Hansel hap, minus the lace edging. The Old Shale border is enough for my undeveloped lace skills. The last one, delivered two weeks ago (both baby and blanket) was well received.

I love your suggestion of casting on one of KD's creations. I think I'll do one of her many sweaters and read some of her writings... I am at a loss over the book club.. I think I'm in the mood for Josephine Tey's 'Daughter of time' or 'Miss Pym Disposes'. Both are managed by Penguin - so that's OK.
By the way, have you checked out whether or not your meds are conflicting with each other and could be causing your loss of energy???? Do keep well. pgnitter
