Well, here we are, the 19th of November.

I still haven't finished the seating plan. That's what I'll do right away, instead of my morning SuDoku. I've got the cards, and I figure I'll be able to nip in and distribute them during the initial Champagne Reception bit.

The picture shows Helen, from Thessaloniki, helping her nephew James, from London, play with my Katcha-Katcha. I think it previously registered the row-count for the Communion Veil, and I think I'll be able to reconstruct it.

Meanwhile I got to the final increase row for the first half of the swirly scarf, but haven't done it yet. At this rate, I should be able to finish another before Christmas. What about a stripey swirly?

Tomorrow's blog may be late, as we will have added another to the Drummond Place body count, and he'll be on a mattress on the floor in here.

Jean, I know you'll all have a wonderful time -- we'll be looking forward to hearing all about it.

  2. Jean,
I hopscotched links to your site and felt at home immediately ( I started at Victoria and Albert Museum, on to Queer Joes' and then to you). Congratulations on bringing off the rellie rally; I'm sure everyone is having a hoot. Happy Birthday to Him Indoors, too.

With regards to feeding the masses: in my family, soup is the first meal we share when we foregather. Usually there's 2, one veggie, one meat and there's a small mountain of bread and butter. For 12 adults and 12 kids, it's the easiest thing to make in advance and people are too busy talking to want to sit down for long.

My niece will be having her communion next year and your communion veil is a relief of a good idea instead of the usual cross or book of saints. May I ask if it's your own design or available on the net?

    Cheers
    Kate Thorne
