Another such day. I walked a bit, bedroom to sitting room, instead of travelling by wheelchair. That was encouraging. However I don’t think there’s anything exercise can do. It’s a question I must pursue in future medical appointments, several of which loom.

I’ve knit a bit more. I’m bogged down in another difficult round — lots of crosses, perversely arranged. I measured, and I’m  doing well. Kate Davies, who models the finished garment herself, is substantially shorter than I am, and she is wearing the vest short, so I can knit on comfortably for a couple of inches.

We are all worrying about the Middle East. Wafa is a Yemini, actually born in Saudi  Arabia. I hope eventually to learn the whole story. David Remnick in the New Yorker is first rate.

Wordle: another quick three for me. Theo and Roger, Rachel and Mark all joined me there. The others, who don’t deserve to be named, all scored four. I guess it was an easy one.

I think everyone everywhere is worried and, I suspect, for good reason. Wishing I could knit half as well as you. I'm amazed at what you accomplish. Loretta

Another three for me, as well. I watched a clip on-line of a Palestinian talking about Hamas in Gaza, and what a terrorist group it is. I think we understand so little, that Hamas is not the Palestinian government in any way. I will look for the David Remnick article. I am making a sample toddler vest, much faster than adult size!

  3. It strikes me that human civilisation has not moved on so very far from the stone age, when warring tribes threw rocks at each other, as we could wish. People can become very fired up when threatened and lose all sense of rationality. Apart from prayer (if you are so inclined) and donations to humanitarian organisations I'm not sure what one can do from where we sit.

Even wheelchair use requires some strength, so exercise does some good. I heard there are exercises designed to be done while sitting.
Good work keeping track of that pattern.
