Every day I resolve to get my keyboard-and-,mouse organised. Every day I fail — more accurately, I don’t start. Here I am pecking with one finger again. Fortunately there is little to report.
I have been singularly sleepy today. I don’t know whether it’s the sleep of the moribund or just making up for another uncomfortable night. Nights are fairly grim. No knitting, I’m afraid.
And to add to this litany of woe, I failed at Wordle today. The winning streak was just over 40, and now it’s gone. I used a jean-word in line three. I must avoid that at all costs. Then I got stuck in a Wordle sprcial — four greens with the first letter missing. Pure luck. That’s no comfort..
Three for Thomas and Rachel. Four for Mark and Alexander.Ketki nearly fell into my trap, but clambered out in time: five for her. No news from DC yet.

Thinking of you as you sound a bit gloomy. Hopefully this will soon pass and you will continue happily with knitting and cat petting.
But also, please keep posting even if you feel like you have little to report. We are here to listen and every word is appreciated. PS, took me 5 for Wordle today, but I got it in the end

Re today's wordle, my husband fell into the same trap. Curses! I managed to get the front end early on so was much happier. I hope the BBC provides you with something distracting to listen to in the wee hours.

Are you still sleeping in the bed instead of the comfortable chair? There must be some sort of soft mattress topper that would help.

Just as glad I don't do Wordle. Sudoku on Easy level is a trap, but at least I don't have to try to read the designer's mind while counting to nine.
Weather here is turning cool at night but hot days still. They tell me it's been raining off and on. Better that than high winds.

  4. Awww, sorry about the streak. Those single letters are the worst. I think I quit Wordle after I got two of those in a row. Maybe I should start again... Sorry to hear about your continuing sleeping problems. I'm quite sure your family has been thinking of anything so we can't help much, but I do hope someone does get a brilliant idea after all and you get some more comfort in the night.

I just read that The Buccaneers (a historical TV show) is filming around Drummond Place. If you have a street view window, you may catch a glimpse of Victorian horse and carriage.
