General gloom, and
no more knitting.
Gloom (1): I am
expecting an Amazon delivery “by 9 p.m.” Usually, by this time of day (4:30
p.m.) the news would be more specific. Not so today.
Gloom (2): I had a
letter from the NHS today about some little anomalies that turned up in my CT
scan and are to be investigated. It’s all beginning to seem endless. I just
want to feel peppier.
I’ve finished “Moon
Tiger”. It’s awfully good. Rachel and Ed got to Kirkmichael. They'll be heading back to London soon.
A good book can make up for a lot. Here's hoping tomorrow will be better.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for the delivery and the 'little anomalies'. Have you read any Graham Norton? I've started The Keeper for book club.
ReplyDeletePaws crossed that there is nothing seriously wrong.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Moon Tiger. Have you read any of Elizabeth Jane Howard's books? The Cazelet Chronicles in particular.
ReplyDeleteNine seems rather late for a delivery! I have to look for Moon Tiger.
ReplyDeleteToday will be better. A good book is a great substitute if you can't knit. Take care of yourself first. The anomalies with be something small. Sending positive thoughts from South Africa
