Well, here I still am in the Western Infirmary being treated for an “atypical pneumonia.” I think I am getting slightly better. Hospital food is a severe test, but I think appetite is improving.
Wafa, alas, has left for her next job. I’ll ring the agency and try to get her back once I can see my future more clearly.
Perdita has gone to Helen in Portobello. She seems to be utterly relaxed and happy (to get away from her sister?). Paradox has gone with Alexander to Loch Fyne. She is miserable, and anxious, and not yet eating., and I am worried about her.
Wordle: an easy one to report. Everybody got three today except me and Ketki. Four for us.
Jean, very glad that you have posted and, to me, you are sounding like yourself. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, for an end to bad hospital food, and for Wafa’s return. (The Other Kristen in NY)
ReplyDeleteHi there. Thanks for letting us know. Hospital food is variable. I once heard that if they give you a choice, you have to ask for things like salt and pepper. Poor Paradox. Did her familiar food bowl go with her?
ReplyDeleteIf you can manage any hospital food at all you must be improving! I have been told by a cattery that No cat can ever resist sardines in tomato sauce, but she's not called Paradox for nothing.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear from you with this update today. Well done - and progressing on multiple fronts!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you. Paradox will adjust, I believe, some take being uprooted less willingly. Take care and keep us updated when you can.
ReplyDeleteI could be wrong and usually am but didn't they not want Paradox? She probably feels very unwanted if they are not trying to make her feel better.
ReplyDeleteWordle was truly easier than usual. So glad you posted. Hoping for a speedy recovery. Sounds like you are in good hands and being well cared for.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update Jean - joining the crowd in wishing you a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, I have been anxiously checking every day for a post. You do sound like yourself.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am wishing you a speedy recovery. Glad you are eating, even hospital food, it will help you maintain/gain energy.

Hope you feel better soon. What next? Cramond? Janet in Seattle
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update Jean. So glad you to see you so cheerful. Chloe
ReplyDeleteSo glad to get your update! Continue the recovery!
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like Paradox always takes care of herself - I'm sure she will figure it out. Happy to hear you are improving, and I got four today as well.
